Proposed Hailsham to Eastbourne Seafront Cycle Route

Some 200 residents attended a meeting at Ratton School on 22nd January to hear from Mr Jon Wheeler, Team Manager for Strategic Economic Infrastructure at East Sussex County Council give some detail of the proposals they have to provide a safe cycle route between Hailsham and Eastbourne Sea Front and the various traffic calming measures within the proposals.   Unfortunately almost all present had not had prior notice that there was a consultation taking place last autumn and were unaware of these proposals.

Should anyone have any comments or views they would like passed on to Mr Wheeler they are very welcome to send these to the Ratton Panel Chairman, Sandy Boyce-Sharpe, rattonchairman@eastbournenp.org and they will be collated and forwarded to Mr Wheeler.

Sandy would like to thank Mr Jon Wheeler for taking the time to come to our meeting and hear the suggestions and comments of the community, despite the fact that the actual consultation closed last November, and for his agreement that these would be taken into consideration by his team when formulating their proposals to the County Council Cabinet.
